Since safety is a top priority at USG, we have been cooperating with Guardian Horse since the beginning of 2021.
Guardian Horse turns your smartphone into a GPS tracker. The Guardian Horse emergency tracker is attached to the horse and is in connection with the free of charge Guardian Horse app on your mobile phone during the ride.
When you start a ride, you need to activate your free Guardian Horse app first, through the app your current location and all emergency data is available on your personal emergency website, the Guardian Horse HelpMe-Board.
In Case of a fall in which rider and horse separate from each other, the app will automatically alerts previously stored emergency contacts via text message and the emergency contacts can initiate rescue measures via the HelpMe-Board and coordinate with each other.

Via the app, another person, defined in advance, can be given the opportunity to follow the ride online via the website. Even Chat messages are possible via this app, too. Ideal when riders are out on the trail alone.

USG‘s Precto Future fit green is the world's first upper body protector made from 100% recycled materials. From padding to buttons, from zipper to cover - it was developed to provide protection and comfort as well as sustainability. USG believes that we can influence our ecological footprint in product development positively without having to make compromises with regard to fashion, comfort and technical standards!
As a leading manufacturer of protective equestrian gear, it was our target to be first to establish a sustainable product which will be reference to the market. In addition to improve our own product range, we wanted to set a clear sign that it is possible to save resources and to produce quality safety products at the same time. We have accepted the challenge and hope that it will become established in the near future.
We are aware of our responsibility to minimise our ecological footprint. From design and choice of our materials to the way of transport, we do care about nature and environment every step of the way. We develop safety products for future generations and align ourselves to very strict standards. From yarn for the cover, to padding for shock absorption, to the zipper and packaging materials – we have a coherent concept oft o use recycled materials for protective products with best comfort and safety results.
There are currently protectors on the market, that are made from materials all new and of artificial raw materials. The Future fit green sets a new standard and makes industry and consumers rethink. We can now claim: we have changed from so far 100% synthetic to 100% recycled fabric with the 'Future fit green'!
According to the PPE regulation, our Precto Dynamic fit green will keep you safe for at least 7 years. Currently, this product range is going through certification processes according to EN 1621-2 and scheduled to be introduced on the market in July 2021.
Based on our top-selling „Precto Dynamic fit“, the „Future fit green“ was provided with additional shock absorbers integrated into the side Velcro fasteners, allowing a 360°-protection. The well-approved steplessly adjustable Velcro fastener adapts ideally to all body shapes. This model is available in various sizes from children at the age of 3 and has been specifically designed for young riders with especially low material thickness under the arms. The honeycomb principle combined with the 3D elastic protectors ensures freedom of movement for young and old.
We have used new appliqués, pipings and the „Future fit green“-logo that to give it a sportive trendy cut emphasizing the rider’s waist. All accessories have been carefully designed and selected to meet our criteria of sustainability.

Why we wait till something bad happen, till we change something? As a rider you may ask yourself this question, but despite everything you usually take your time with the decision to protect your life and health. Especially riding with a safety vest is becoming a bigger and bigger topic in equestrian sports. The trend to more security comes and many people reach for the safety vest. But here, too, the question arises, "What is important when buying a safety vest?" A good riding safety vest complies at least with the European standard EN 13158 (level / protection class 2) and can protect against rib contusions, fractures, spinal injuries and paraplegia due to its filling of several layers of plastic. With approximately 90,000 riding accidents each year, safety vests can significantly minimize the risk of initial injury. When buying a safety vest, you should therefore make sure that the safety vest adequately protects the chest and spine. The three protection classes into which safety vests have been divided provide information on what basic protection the vest has. EN 13158 - Level 1 safety vests offer only basic protection and are more suitable for jockeys. EN 13158 - Level 2 models offer medium protection. They provide a compromise between comfort and protection for less risky situations. EN 13158 - Level 3 riding vests offer the maximum safety protection and protect most effectively. The European standard EN 13158, is the current standard for safety vests. They give regulations about the minimum thickness at all points of the vest. When buying a vest, you should pay particular attention to good padding of the front and back parts, as well as padding of the shoulder parties and side parts. Shoulder and side parts that can be individually adjusted to the fit of the wearer by means of Velcro are especially recommended. The most important criterion when buying a safety vest is that the back length fits. A safety vest that is too short will not properly protect the spine, while a safety vest that is too long will touch the saddle while riding and restrict the freedom of movement on the horse. Almost all riding vests have a Velcro closure in the front part, where the Velcro straps are usually colored red. If you can see the red Velcro when closing the vest, the vest is too small! If you want to buy a tested and safe riding safety vest, you should read some test reports before buying, as these provide information about comfort, freedom of movement and cushioning protection in the event of a fall. The tests measure, among other things, the force that hits the safety vest. Safety vests with the additional BETA 2018 label, comply with the current BETA safety standard and are also retested annually for their protective performance.
