Product information "The "Hay Saver""
The "Hay Saver" is the practical and innovative 3 in 1 solution - less boredom for the horse due to longer eating times and less effort for the horse owner.
The Hay Safer promotes the horse's natural eating posture thanks to its optimal height. A practical solution for hay feeding in the paddock or playpen. A cover with several 8 x 18 cm oval openings lying on top of the hay means that the hay can no longer simply be pulled out of the rack and trampled on the ground, which significantly reduces wastage. In addition, the holes encourage a calm and slow feed intake.
The "Hay Saver" can be filled very easily through an easy-to-open sliding lid, which is secured with a rubber closure.
This mobile, lightweight hay rack is made of robust, frost-proof and food-safe plastic. It is very easy to clean thanks to its smooth surface.
The "Hay-Saver" can be used as a hay rack and for soaking hay and, depending on tolerance, offers feeding places for 2 to 3 horses.
Measuring 110 * 80 * 55 cm, the "Hay Saver" holds at least 1 small hay bale.
Attention: Different freight costs (forwarding delivery / pallet freight)
Notes on appropriate use:
When feeding Shetland ponies with the Hay Saver we recommend using the Hay Saver with the border but without the perforated grid.
When introducing new feeding aids to the stable, paddock or pasture, we recommend that horses should not be left unattended for the first few days of use. Monitoring is for the safety of your horse, as improper use can cause damage to the product.
We still recommend filling in the hay loosely so that the horse can easily remove the hay from the openings and eat it. Due to the conical shape of the hay saver, the perforated grid does not fall down to the ground, so that residual amounts of hay always remain in the hay saver, which the horses cannot reach, so it is always important to ensure that there is sufficient filling.
The aim of these notes is to prevent damage to the product caused by boredom or frustration. Empty hay savers should never be left unattended and should be kept out of the reach of horses.
